Years ago, two friends started an experimental noise band that would eventually be called TITHONUS: Ben Overlaet on guitar and Jan Van Woensel on drums. They recorded and self-released two songs, "Movements" and "I Want to Disappear into the Black Back of the Night Watch".
Their 70 minutes long noise composition was recorded live on their first public appearance, a show in an old industrial building, and was called "The Secret Session". Ben: guitar, bass and vocals. Jan: drums, guitar and vocals. They played gigs in Belgium (Antwerp, Brussels, Leuven, Watou), Germany (Cologne, Berlin, Hamburg) and Norway (Oslo).
Later Ben's brother Dave joined the band on bass and their music became more structured.

After a while, Jan decided to leave the band to work on his own music (Pilots and Waves, Cult of Slaves) and Tim Jamée replaced him. They played several gigs in Belgium and the Netherlands and recorded their promo-album "Safe". After three years Tim left and Jan rejoined the band. Eventually Jan left again and got replaced by Chadwick, which after a short period left and got replaced by Waut. Because of different interests it didn't take too long before the band started looking for replacement. For a short period they found that replacement in Arno. After he left Tim rejoined the band. He is their current drummer.
